Kia Motors has topped the J.D. Power 2020 U.S. Initial Quality Study, showing the level of dependability and quality you can expect from a Kia car, SUV, or minivan. This honor was led by several models that had segment-best-performances, including the Forte in the Compact Car segment, Sedona in the Minivan segment, Sorento in the Upper Midsize SUV segment, and Soul in the Small SUV segment. Kia was also the best mass-market automotive brand for the sixth consecutive year.
The J.D. Power Initial Quality Study is based on data collected from responses of 87,282 respondents. It evaluated 189 vehicle series across an impressive 26 segments. Data evaluated includes engine/ transmission performance, driving experience, and a variety of quality related issues experienced by vehicle owners.
