This latest accolade marks the second consecutive year the Sportage Hybrid has been recognized. The evaluation is based on Cars.com’s efficiency-cost rating, calculated by dividing the EPA’s combined mpg rating by the vehicle’s base price (including MSRP and destination charge). The 2025 Sportage Hybrid led its segment by delivering exceptional value on both fronts. The 2025 Cars.com Best Hybrids for the Money list focuses exclusively on non-plug-in hybrid models for the 2025 model year.
About the 2025 Kia Sportage Hybrid
Under the hood of the 2025 Kia Sportage Hybrid, it swaps the normal Sportage’s 187-hp four-cylinder for a turbocharged 1.6-liter four that combines with two electric motors for 227 horsepower. There’s a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) model too, which boasts 261 horsepower and can drive for up to 34 miles without starting up the gas engine. The interior is available in an attractive two-tone color scheme as an option, but if you prefer something low-key, an all-black cabin is also offered. The center console boasts a rotary shift knob, a push-to-start button, and a myriad of other controls. On the infotainment front, this Sportage Hybrid comes standard with desirable features such as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. An 8.0-inch infotainment display is standard, and all models come with a digital gauge display, too.
