Let Thelen Kia Help When You See a Dashboard Light
Your Kia’s dashboard lights are clear indicators that something needs to be quickly addressed. From your engine to various fluids and electronics, a dashboard light appearing suddenly means you should have the team at the Thelen Kia Service Center do a thorough diagnosis and associated repair as quickly as possible. If you’re uncertain about what a new light means, we will be happy to share with you information about likely culprits for a specific warning. We also encourage you to schedule an appointment by calling 989-402-2314 to speak with a service representative about the issue.
Dashboard Lights That Demand Immediate Attention
- Check Engine Light – This light is fairly self-explanatory in its appearance, as it looks like a conventional engine. The cause of the light appearing can vary from something minor to something major, such as a cylinder issue. Regardless of the severity, please have our Service Center team look at your Kia as soon as possible if this light pops on. You don’t want to assume that it’s something minor and have it wind up being significant.
- Coolant Temperature Warning – If you can see a light that looks like a thermometer floating in a wave of water, this is a warning sign that the temperature your Kia’s engine is reaching is becoming dangerously high. This could be a result of anything ranging from a coolant system leak to an issue with the radiator itself. With the inherent risk of running your vehicle while this light is on, please pull over safely if it comes on and contact us immediately.
- Oil Pressure Warning Light – Another one of the fairly obvious lights when trying to diagnose the issue from a glance, this one looks like a standard oil can and will typically have a drop of oil coming out of the spout. From low oil levels to a potential leak in the engine, this is another light you shouldn’t delay having fixed as quickly as possible to prevent long-term damage to your engine.
