Pay Attention to the Engine Noises Your Kia Makes While on the Road

The Noises You Should Look Out for from Your Vehicle’s Engine
Grinding – When you hear a grinding sound from under the hood of your Kia, you should pay attention to when you hear it. If it’s a constant sound while on the move, then the bearings could be worn-out and need to be replaced. If you have a manual transmission and hear the grinding sound whenever you shift, then you might be dealing with a burned-out clutch. Squealing – If you suddenly hear a distressing squeal emanating from the hood of your Kia, you could be dealing with a loosened or damaged serpentine belt. If this is the case, you need to immediately contact Thelen Kia and get your vehicle in for service as soon as possible. The serpentine belt is responsible for handling many of the vital functions of your engine. Therefore if it is becoming worn or damaged, you need to have it replaced as quickly as possible to prevent long-lasting damage to the engine.
Tapping – If your vehicle is starting to run low on oil and is trying to function with inadequate levels, you will hear a very distinctive pinging or tapping sound of the engine. If this is the case, check the dipstick in your Kia and see what your current oil level is. If you realize that the level is critically low, then let Thelen Kia replace the oil with a recommended brand to help your vehicle get back to functioning as it should.
