FWD is the standard drivetrain for the lower-level K5 trims and AWD is available on them. Trims above the GT-Line have AWD standard.

Exterior & Interior Features

The new Kia logo is featured on the exterior of the 2022 K5. Inside, there are new standard features to get excited about. FWD models of the LXS trim have had USB charging ports added to the rear row of the sedan. As for FWD versions of the upgraded GT-Line trim, a new standard wireless smartphone charger has been installed into the center console for convenience. While both the base LX and LXS trims feature the old 8-inch touchscreen for the infotainment system, the GT-Line and upper-level trims now feature a 10.3-inch version. Welcome features such as connectivity to both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto remain in all models of the 2022 K5 from the 2021 model year.
